What is different in the city
In Zurich it is often about commercial space: open-plan offices, meeting rooms, medical practices, shop premises or technical and server rooms. What counts here is an even temperature throughout the working day, quiet operation and a solution that fits into existing rooms.
If many rooms are air-conditioned, a VRF system is an option: several indoor units – as wall-mounted, floor-standing or ceiling cassette units – work with shared outdoor units. For individual rooms or apartments, a split or multi-split unit is usually sufficient.

Before the outdoor unit is installed
In the city, façades, courtyards and roofs are often cramped. We clarify on site where outdoor units can fit, how refrigerant and condensate lines run and how the units remain accessible for service.
In the Canton of Zurich, the noise protection certificate for air conditioning and ventilation systems is checked by the authorities (Source: Canton of Zurich). For rented premises and in condominium ownership, the consent of the landlord or owners’ association is also an important point in planning.

Questions about: air conditioning Zurich
Split, multi-split or VRF – what do I need?
For a single room a split unit is often enough, for several rooms a multi-split. VRF systems are suitable for larger areas with many indoor units. The choice depends on rooms, use and space for outdoor units – we clarify this during the site inspection.
Do you also air-condition server and technical rooms?
Yes. For rooms with heat loads we work with STULZ, among others. The design depends on the room and heat load.
Can I have an air conditioning system installed in a rented apartment?
For a permanently installed unit with an outdoor unit, the landlord’s consent is generally required and, depending on the property, also a permit. We discuss with you which information you need for this.
Do you take over maintenance for commercial systems?
Yes – as individual maintenance or with a maintenance contract, also for systems not installed by us.
