Building services in the City of Zurich: what is different
In the city, many apartment buildings, old buildings and mixed-use buildings stand close together. This has consequences for planning: outdoor units are often placed in courtyards or on roofs, coordination with property management, condominium owners and neighbours is important, and noise protection frequently determines the location.
In the Canton of Zurich, many air/water heat pumps can be installed under the notification procedure (placed indoors or outdoors up to 2 m³); in core zones and in areas with townscape or monument protection, outdoor units still require a permit. A noise protection certificate is always required for air/water heat pumps (Canton of Zurich). The City of Zurich accepts projects subject to notification exclusively electronically via eBaugesucheZH.
Our head office in Adliswil borders Kreis 2. From here we work in all twelve districts – for planning, building permits, installation, maintenance and repairs, regardless of the brand of your system.

How do I submit a heat pump application in the City of Zurich?
In the City of Zurich, projects subject to notification are submitted via eBaugesucheZH. We compile the documents including the noise protection certificate and handle the submission on request.
Do you maintain systems of all brands?
Yes, we maintain and repair air conditioning systems and heat pumps from all common manufacturers – even if we did not install them.
