The switch begins with a good survey
Whether an air/water heat pump or a ground-source heat pump is suitable depends on the building, the plot and the existing heat distribution. During the site visit we look at the boiler room, radiators or underfloor heating and the possible location of an outdoor unit.
We take care of advice, planning and design, the documents for notification or building permit, installation and commissioning – and the maintenance of existing heat pumps, even if they were installed by another company.

Good to know in the Canton of Zurich
Since 1 January 2023, many heat pumps in the Canton of Zurich can be installed under the notification procedure: indoor air/water heat pumps, outdoor units up to 2 m³ in volume and ground-source heat pumps. If nothing else is ordered within 30 days, construction can go ahead. In core zones and with townscape or monument protection, outdoor air/water heat pumps still require a permit (Source: Canton of Zurich).
For air/water heat pumps, a noise protection certificate according to Cercle Bruit enforcement practice is always required (Source: Canton of Zurich). Ground-source probes additionally require a water protection permit.
For a neutral initial consultation, Energie Genossenschaft Zimmerberg (EGZ) offers the “renewable heating” impulse consultation for Adliswil and the Zimmerberg municipalities (e-zimmerberg.ch).

FAQ
Questions about: heat pumps Adliswil & Zimmerberg
Do I need a building permit for a heat pump?
In the Canton of Zurich, the notification procedure with the building authority is sufficient for many heat pumps. Exceptions apply e.g. to outdoor air/water heat pumps in core zones or with monument protection. For air/water heat pumps, a noise protection certificate is always required. We compile the documents on request.
Does a heat pump also work with radiators?
That depends on the required flow temperature and the building. We check your existing heat distribution during the site visit and discuss what is needed.
Air/water or ground-source probe?
Ground-source probes need space for drilling and a permit; air/water heat pumps need a suitable location for the outdoor unit and a noise protection certificate. We clarify on site which option makes sense.
Are there subsidies?
The canton and municipalities have their own funding programmes, which can change. Current information is available from the Canton of Zurich or your municipality; EGZ offers a neutral initial consultation on the Zimmerberg.
Do you maintain existing heat pumps from other installers?
Yes. We take care of the maintenance of existing heat pumps – including systems we did not install.
