Pre-wall installations (Geberit Duofix & GIS)
With a pre-wall installation, the WC, washbasin, shower, bidet or urinal are not connected directly to the wall, but to installation elements mounted in front of the wall. The water and waste water pipes run protected inside the pre-wall. The pre-wall is then clad using dry construction and can be tiled.
Geberit Duofix is a system of mounting elements, for example for a wall-hung WC with a concealed cistern or for a washbasin, which are fixed to the wall or into a stud wall. Geberit GIS is a profile system made of steel profiles that can be used to build complete pre-walls, floor-to-ceiling installation walls and free-standing partition walls.
We install pre-wall installations in new buildings as well as in renovations and bathroom refurbishments – from a single WC element to installation walls for several bathrooms.

Questions about pre-wall installations
What is the difference between Geberit Duofix and Geberit GIS?
Duofix consists of individual mounting elements, for example for a WC or a washbasin, which are fixed to the wall or into a stud wall. GIS is a profile system used to build complete pre-walls and installation walls into which the elements are integrated. Which system is right depends on the room, the type of construction and the project.
Is a pre-wall installation also possible in a bathroom renovation?
Yes. In renovations and bathroom refurbishments, the pre-wall is built in front of the existing wall and the new pipes are routed inside it. What is possible in each individual case we clarify during an on-site visit.
